On May 5,2023 the Faculty of Procurement and Logistics Management (FPLM) held a Certificate Awarding Ceremony for best forming students in the Department of Procurement & Supply Chain Management and the Department of Transport and Logistics Management at the MUBS main campus Nakawa. It’s on this event that the Deputy Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi applauded students for performing well and it gave him joy to celebrate the bright students because they are outliers but not average students. He added that choosing to be first class is grabbing a golden opportunity which does not come every time.
He encouraged the students to build professional values around the procurement profession for which they will be identified. He further urged them to open their minds and take up any opportunity because the confidence built in the subject area culminates in to a written book in the near future.
The School Registrar Ms. Eldred Kyomuhangi Manyindo encouraged students to work hard with humility because the First Class Award can only take you far if you work with humility. She explained the various types of Certificates that they received and encouraged the students to focus and continue being hardworking for them to maintain the status achieved.
The Head of Department of Transport and Logistics Management, Mr. Brian Muyomba requested students to remain humble because they are not there at the top as yet, he encouraged them to know more about their soft skills because it is not only about the First Class Award but also the discipline and resilience in them. He further advised the students to pursue other professional courses.
