Overview

Following a Council Decision MUBS management established The Department of Transport and Logistics Management on 1st July 2022.
The department currently houses the Bachelor of Transport and Logistics Management and several logistics course units offered by other programs, the Department is also in the final stages of developing the Masters of Science in Transport and Logistics as well as other professional and short courses.
The number of students currently offering Bachelor of Transport and Logistics Management stands at 822 while the academic staff are15. In addition to teaching the department conducts several activities to foster research, teaching and learning for example field trips for students. Our students visit different places to enhance their learning experience for example warehouses, inland cargo depots, airports, ports among others. Additionally our staff participate in both local and international conferences. The department also supports the Transport and Logistics Innovation Challenge which is hosted by the students association (MUTLA).
